Nevada groups get almost $300,000 from adoption event
It took a while to get final numbers from the recent Maddie's® Pet Adoption Days, but they’ve finally been confirmed.
The event allowing organizations to offer free adoptions April 27-28 was organized by Maddie's® Pet Project in Nevada. Groups received $300 for each cat and dog adopted on those two days. Here are the numbers:
•41 shelters and rescue groups participated.
•654 dogs were adopted.
•304 cats were adopted.
•22 other animals were adopted: 10 rabbits, 5 guinea pigs, 4 ducks, and 2 hamsters, and 1 snake.
•$287,400 was given to groups.
